The Aarón Sánchez Scholarship Fund was founded in 2016 and we have had 3 recipients thus far. In the 2020 program, we will be sending 3 students to New York to receive the ICC culinary education, mentorships and industry experience.

Camila Arias, 2020
Camila is 18 years old and calls New Orleans home. She was born in a small town in Mississippi, but her family is originally from El Salvador. She has also lived in Guatemala and different cities throughout the US. During high school she had the opportunity to work with great Chefs like Emeril Lagasse, Alon Shaya, David Slater, and Joaquin Rodas. Most recently she worked at Saba (Chef Alon Shaya) as a line cook. She dreams of one day opening her own restaurant.
