It's Giving Tuesday!

GivingTuesday is a global generosity movement unleashing the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and the world.At ASSF, our goal is to help future generations of Latino chefs reach their goals both in and out of the kitchen though mentorship and education. "I created this initiative to empower aspiring chefs from the Latin community to follow their dreams and attend the best culinary schools in the United States. Across America, many restaurant kitchens rely heavily on the talents of Latino cooks. But few of those cooks advance to the top of their field, becoming chefs de cuisine or executive chefs. It can be difficult to work your way up the ladder from dishwasher or line cook to executive chef, and I feel like there aren’t many opportunities for aspiring chefs, especially from the Latin community, to get to that next level. With our scholarship, I am doing my part to change that." - Chef Aarón Sánchez
